YOU’RE INVITED! The Monclova Historical Foundation invites you to join us on Wednesday, January 24th at 7:00pm for our next History Lecture – “Memories of the Monclova Area & Anthony Wayne School” featuring Kay Schaller Sergent.

- Graduated: Anthony Wayne 1956
- Attended: Ohio University
- Graduated: Owens Technical College with an Associates Degree in Applied Business
- Director: Community Services-working with BGSU students who volunteered to tutor children, mentor adjudicated youth, helped special needs adults, visited the elderly.
- Founded: Wood County Literacy Council – teaching illiterate adults and teaching English to BGSU foreign students.
- Founder: Living History Program – Wood County Historical Society
- Award: Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Citizen
- Award: Inducted into Anthony Wayne Hall of Fame
The lecture will take place at the Monclova Community Center (Ottawa Room) located at 8115 Monclova Road – just 3 miles West of St. Luke’s Hospital. Admission and parking are FREE. An elevator is located at the west entrance to the building. Hope to see you there!
Monclova TRIVIA Night
The Monclova Historical Foundation & Community Center are pleased to announce that they will be hosting their 8th Trivia Night on Friday, February 16th, 2018. Start assembling your teams of six or less. Admission is $10 per person. Snacks will be provided for FREE, or you can order PizzAroma Pizza. The event is for adults 21 and over, and it is BYOB. There will be a 50/50 raffle, door prizes & cash prizes for the winning team! The event will take place from 7 PM to 9 PM. Come Shop at the Ritzee Resale!
The Monclova Community Center will be hosting the sixth annual Ritzee Resale on Friday, March 23rd & Saturday, March 24th. Shoppers will find great bargains on gently used jewelry, purses, shoes, hats, scarves, gloves, and more! This is a great opportunity to update and accent your spring accessories, as well as to find items for that special event.
We will also host several home vendors to shop as well! See our flyer for specifics.
The sale is open to the public, and will be held on Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The Monclova Community Center is located at 8115 Monclova Road (three miles west of St. Luke’s Hospital). An elevator is located at the west entrance to the building. All proceeds from the sale will benefit free community events and improvements at the Community Center.
This is also a perfect time to de-clutter your own closet by donating your women’s or men’s new or gently used accessories. Items can be dropped off at the Community Center during regular office hours (M-Th 9A-4P or Friday 9AM-Noon) or call us at 419-861-1336 for special arrangements.
